Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Shift Leader for our Kansas City store at 505 Westport Rd. You will be the captain of the bakery during your shift, guiding the team, baking, and delivering outstanding customer service from open to close.

Lead by example, manage tasks, supervise the Cookie Crew, handle cash deposits, and ensure food safety and a clean environment. This role offers mentorship, growth opportunities, and a fun, energetic team atmosphere with plenty of cookies to share.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Experience with Point of Sale systems.
• Excellent communication, time management and people skills.
• Outgoing, friendly and patient demeanor.
• Detail-oriented with a results focus.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate others.
• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Commitment to safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and quality products to all guests.
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during shift and communicating pertinent information.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging and cleaning while leading the Cookie Crew.
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew.
• Provide a safe, clean working environment and adhere to safe food handling practices.

WHAT WILL I DO AS A SHIFT LEADER?

• Provide incredible customer service and quality products to all of our guests throughout their experience within our bakeries


• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift, communicating pertinent information, monitoring production efficiency, holding the team accountable to company standards and procedures, and assisting in the training and coaching of team members


• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew team


• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew


• Provide a safe, clean, working environment for our guests and staff and adhere to safe food handling practices


• Manage cash handling and deposits

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year of working experience in a customer service focused role


• Point of Sales systems experience
