Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Shift Leader to supervise FOH and BOH operations, ensuring a smooth shift and exceptional guest experience. You will work with management on food and labor costs, meet sales goals, and uphold health and safety standards at all times.

You will recruit and train FOH staff, enforce standards, and maintain cleanliness and organization across the restaurant, while optimizing profits and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in related food service management position preferred, or 2 years of experience in other food service positions.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with guests in a polite and friendly manner.
• Handle guests' requests and complaints.
• Recruit and hire FOH staff.
• Train and develop FOH staff to meet customer service standards.
• Ensure team members comply with safety, sanitation, hygiene, appearance, and uniform standards.
• Oversee daily restaurant shift operations.
• Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
• Ensure food quality and availability.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas.
• Supervise opening and closing procedures with checklists.
• Prepare deposits and reconcile cash drawers.

You will assist in ensuring an exceptional service experience for every guest. The Team Member is frequently exposed to heat, steam, fire, and noise.
