A Shift Leader is an entry-level supervisory position responsible for supporting the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Manager with the daily operations of a restaurant. The Shift Leader must convey the Wingstop culture to team members and be a creative team player who is passionate about hard work, having fun, and demonstrating dedication to the brand's success.

This is an exciting entry-level leadership opportunity with growth potential within the organization. No prior experience is required as training will be provided to prepare you for a leadership role and upward mobility to a General Manager.

Qualifications / Education / Experience:

  • Preferred but not required: 1 year of food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience.
  • Food Handler Certification required upon hiring.
  • 6 months of experience using a POS system.
  • Ability to meet restaurant policies and standards, including quality food provision, cash handling, and safety/security, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the culture, values, and mission of Wingstop with integrity and honesty.
  • Assist the General Manager in meeting store goals.
  • Drive operational excellence by increasing sales and controlling costs.
  • Maintain a safe environment for staff and guests; foster a respectful and rewarding culture.
  • Remain calm during high-volume or unusual events, setting a positive example.
  • Build positive relationships with team members, understanding their motivations and needs.
  • Assist in all positions as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest needs with a guest-first attitude.
  • Follow cash management policies and ensure proper practices are followed.
  • Resolve guest issues efficiently and positively.
  • Maintain operational standards; report maintenance issues; communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Use company tools to coach, mentor, and develop team members; ensure compliance with risk management standards.
