Tommy’s Express Car Wash in Cape Coral, FL is hiring full-time Shift Leaders for 2:00 PM–Close shifts (approx. 10:00 PM) with a $1.00 per hour shift premium. The role supports the Site Leader and Assistant Site Leader in daily operations, guest service, and team development in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide quick and friendly guest service within the car wash.
• Oversee all site operations and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Retain and develop customer relationships and team members.
• Maintain site, grounds, and car wash; open or close as needed.
• Keep logs, inventory, and reports; communicate updates to leadership.
• Enforce policies and update checklists; ensure task completion.
• Manage detergent and wash supplies; coordinate maintenance checks.
• Ensure proper dialogue and team accountability across shifts.
• Lead training for new team members and franchisees on multiple positions.
• Travel to franchise locations for staff training as needed.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking full-time Shift Leaders who are available to work 2:00PM-Close shifts (approximately 10:00 PM) and are willing to work 30–50 hours per week. Shift Leaders working these hours will be eligible for a $1.00 per hour shift premium.

Join our team at Tommy’s Express Car Wash! We’re looking for motivated and dependable Shift Leaders to support daily site operations alongside the Site Leader and Assistant Site Leader. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth car wash operations, delivering excellent guest service, maintaining site standards, and supporting team development in a fast-paced environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide quick and friendly guest service to our guests within the car wash
• Exceed Guest expectations
• Oversee all aspects of the site
• Retain and create new customer relations
• Maintain unit, grounds, and car wash
• Must be able to open or close wash
• Maintain maintenance logs, inventory, and reports as needed
• Communicate good news, bad news, breakdowns, etc. with Assistant and Site Leader
• Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and the employee handbook to all team members
• Update, maintain, add tasks, and ensure completion of checklists
• Maintain and fill detergent and wash supply
• Enforce wash cleaning list, oversee wash cleaning, and bring attention to any required maintenance
• Maintain awareness of chemical titrations and volumetric
• Daily maintenance of the car wash
• Ensure every team member in Flight Deck 1 is executing proper dialogue
• Team Member Relations:
• Aid in managing the team and developing relationships
• Following checklists
• Provide team accountability
• Any additional tasks that pertain to benefitting the company and taking care of the guests
• Train new team members and franchisees on Flight Deck 1, Flight Deck 2, Loader, Wash Tech, and Vacuum Concierge hourly positions.
• Train new team members and franchisees through the Proficiencies Acquired Credentialing book
• Train new team members on awareness and safety procedures
• Opportunities to travel and train staff at franchise locations

Qualifications & Candidate Attributes

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional retail car wash environment. Team members may work both indoors and outdoors and are exposed to noise, water, weather conditions, and car wash equipment during operating hours (7:00am-9:00pm Monday through Sunday).

While performing the duties of this job, the team member must be able to:

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time

• Able to move equipment weighing up to 30-50 pounds.
• Able to work and commute in all weather conditions
• Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers.
