Job summary

IHOP is seeking a Shift Leader in Florida to support salaried management and deliver exceptional guest service. This hourly role focuses on front-of-house operations, coaching staff, and maintaining company standards.

The position emphasizes on-floor leadership, guest satisfaction, and adherence to policies while assisting with staffing and daily restaurant activities.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary point of contact for SOH when management is unavailable.
• Provides FOH training, coaching and feedback to the team.
• From time to time may assume full responsibility for running a shift.
• 95% of the Shift Leader’s time will be spent on the floor of the restaurant.
• Acts as a mentor for new hires, assists with onboarding and ensures compliance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.
• May assist with coordinating staffing needs in the event a team member is unable to report to work.
• Handles cash receipts/ Store receipts/ Discounts, reconcile cash receipts and store bank funds.

Shift Leaders must be able to remain calm under pressure when dealing with guests, staff, equipment problems, or emergency situations.
