Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Shift Leader for our Bala Cynwyd bakery. You’ll captain a day or night shift, supervise the Cookie Crew, bake when needed, and deliver warm, friendly service to every guest as part of our fast-paced team.

Your hands-on leadership will help our store run smoothly and profitably. As a leader you will support store leadership by coordinating tasks, monitoring production, handling cash deposits, and coaching team members.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Point of Sale systems experience.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Outgoing, friendly, patient demeanor.
• Detail-focused and results-oriented.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate others.
• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and quality bakery products to all guests during their visit.
• Support store leadership by maintaining shift operations, communicating pertinent information, monitoring production efficiency, and coaching team members.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the Cookie Crew.
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew.
• Provide a safe, clean working environment and adhere to safe food handling practices.
• Manage cash handling and deposits.

You understand what it takes to “Own the Night” (and beyond), by predicting the flow of business during a successful shift. WHAT WILL I DO AS A SHIFT LEADER?

• Provide incredible customer service and quality products to all of our guests throughout their experience within our bakeries
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift, communicating pertinent information, monitoring production efficiency, holding the team accountable to company standards and procedures, and assisting in the training and coaching of team members
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew team
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew
• Provide a safe, clean, working environment for our guests and staff and adhere to safe food handling practices
• Manage cash handling and deposits

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year of working experience in a customer service focused role
• Point of Sales systems experience
