Job summary

Good Earth Markets is seeking a Shift Lead in Orem, UT to support the store manager, guide the team during shifts, and ensure excellent customer service and smooth workflows.

The role involves training, scheduling awareness, merchandising, and maintaining cleanliness, with a focus on compassion and helping customers. Flexible hours include 29–40 hours weekly, with $14–$17 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in management or supervisor roles is a plus.
• Ability to assist the store manager in all store functions with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain product availability, freshness and store cleanliness.
• Capability to ensure excellent customer service with genuine compassion and a desire to help people.
• Proficiency in completing daily tasks that include standing for long periods, repetitive lifting, and bending.
• Knowledge of computerized registers and cash handling experience.
• Excellent time management and personnel management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in developing team training and skills for success and satisfaction.
• Assist team members in completing responsibilities accurately and efficiently in any department.
• Maintain awareness of scheduling needs, theft prevention, fraud, and shrink.
• Complete merchandising tasks to ensure product availability and freshness.
• Maintain store cleanliness and perform light janitorial tasks as needed.
• Ensure excellent customer service by cultivating genuine compassion and a desire to help people.
• Complete daily tasks that include standing for long periods, repetitive lifting, and bending.
• Utilize knowledge of computerized registers and cash handling experience effectively.
• Demonstrate customer service skills and team training abilities with attention to detail.
• Employ excellent time management and personnel management skills to optimize shift operations.
