Job summary

CHEP in Scarborough, ME seeks a hands-on Shift Lead to anchor plant operations. You’ll lead teams on the 2nd shift, make real-time decisions, and drive safety, service, quality and cost to exceed expectations.

You will supervise production staff, monitor schedules, support training, enforce policies, and ensure inventory accuracy while stepping in for Operations Supervisors as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong focus on safety and quality control.
• Ability to coordinate schedules and lead teams effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all production employees during the assigned shift.
• Monitor production and shipping schedules; ensure timely outputs.
• Support plant administration; ensure policy compliance and inventory accuracy.
• Take on Operations Supervisor duties as needed; mentor staff on best practices.
• Drive safety, service, quality and cost initiatives to exceed expectations.
