Job summary

Marcus Theatres in Missouri is seeking a Shift Lead to support theatre operations under the direction of the management team. You will help with staff communication, guest service, and daily goal attainment, acting as a first point of contact for guest concerns.

Responsibilities include guiding team during peak periods, processing refunds and seating changes, and assisting with training, seat repairs, inventory, and policy enforcement to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and software systems.
• Minimum six months' experience in theatre.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate goals and objectives.
• Assist management by repositioning team members during peak periods.
• Process voids, refunds, seating swaps, and loyalty points processing.
• Ensure scanning terminals are 100% operational.
• Be the first point of contact for guest concerns.
• Maintain daily operations to meet Best In Class benchmarks (Smile, Product Quality, Speed of Service, Clean Environment, Promote Value Offerings, Entertainment and thanking guests).
• Assist with projects including seat repair, training, inventory, and financial goal planning/execution.
• Assist in other duties as assigned by management.

Broad Description of Duties

Under the direction of the theatre management team, the Shift Lead is responsible for providing support to management as it relates to theatre efficiencies, staff communication and meeting daily goals. A shift lead may serve as a first point of contact for guest concerns and assist with other associate related task such as: coaching, training, and policy enforcement. This position will help ensure an exceptional guest service experience.

This position reports to the General Manager (reporting may vary by location).

Essential Functions/Job Duties

• Communicate to associates goals and objectives by conducting pre-shift meetings;
• Assist management by repositioning team members in areas of need during peak periods and according to show schedules;
• Process voids, refunds, reserve seating swaps, and issuing loyalty points for guest service reasons;
• Reboot terminals to ensure scanning is 100% operational;
• Be the first point contact for guest concerns;
• Help maintain the quality of daily operations by meeting the “Best In Class” benchmarks, (Smile, Product Quality, Speed of Service, Clean Environment, Promote Value Offerings, Entertainment and Thanking the Guests);
• Assist with projects which include: seat repair, training, inventory, and financial goal planning/execution;
• Assist in other duties as assigned by the management team

Job Requirements

• Willing and motivated to learn new skills, tasks, and software systems to meet the changing demands of the industry;
• Six (6) months minimum experience in theatre industry
