Job summary

Koda Energy/RahrBSG in Shakopee, MN seeks a Power Plant Operator to lead shifts and ensure safe, efficient biomass plant operations. The role oversees two or more staff, rotates shifts, and reports to the Chief Engineer. You’ll monitor turbines, generators, and ancillary equipment while maintaining compliance and performance.

Qualifications

• Currently holds a Minnesota 1A or 2A Boiler Operator license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate front-end loader and bobcat.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain steam turbines, generators, pumps, valves and related equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow procedures.
• Monitor plant parameters and start/stop operations per SOPs.
• Meet or exceed production goals.
• Ensure emissions compliance with laws.
• Record data and perform trend analysis.
• Direct on-shift staff to meet goals.
• Keep accurate written and electronic records.
