Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Addison, IL seeks a Lead Process Technician to oversee 2nd or 3rd shift. You will lead polymer processing, quality control, and shop floor operations, troubleshooting resin batch or molding issues, and maintaining ERP data while ensuring safety compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in plastics processing (injection molding) and the ability to communicate in English and Spanish. Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word is expected. Thermosets experience is a plus.

Qualifications

5+ years of plastics processing experience in injection molding.
Ability to communicate in English and Spanish (written/orally).
Comfortable using basic computer software (Outlook, Excel and Word).

Responsibilities

Set up molds in injection and compression molding presses.
Maintain press uptime during shifts by keeping machines full of material.
Troubleshoot press parameters to produce parts within specification.
Ensure all employees on shift meet job expectations.
Maintain operation conditions within set tolerances.
Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, procedures and working conditions.
Maintain and monitor molding machines, adjust temperatures and curing.
Address batch defects and production issues on the shop floor.
Ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety guidelines.
Maintain 5S at workstation and plant areas.
Maintain and evaluate operator training and records.
