Job summary

Whistle Express Car Wash is seeking a Shift Lead in North Charleston, SC to set the standard on the lot. You will run shifts when management isn’t on-site, lead the crew, and ensure every guest leaves better than they arrived.

The role is fast-paced and outdoors, demanding physical activity, strong leadership, and hands-on customer service. You’ll open/close, delegate tasks, and coach teammates to maintain top-quality wash results.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or shift-management experience preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically active with strong customer-service focus.
• Responsible for opening/closing procedures when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a positive experience.
• Answer questions about services, wash options, and memberships.
• Promote unlimited wash memberships and other offerings.
• Educate customers on wash packages and services.
• Observe interactions to enhance service and provide feedback.
• Direct vehicles into the wash tunnel safely.
• Prepare vehicles for washing by removing obstacles.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions.
• Enforce safety protocols to protect customers and staff.
• Lead the team during shifts and open/close procedures.
• Delegate tasks and monitor performance.
• Handle shift challenges and escalate to leadership.
• Inspect vehicle before/after wash for quality.
• Uphold Sparkle Assurance by checking for misses.
• Provide feedback to maintain consistent wash quality.
