Job summary

7 Leaves Cafe in Montebello, CA is seeking a Shift Lead to support bakery and cafe operations when the manager is not present. You will delegate tasks, maintain a clean, safe environment, and help ensure smooth daily procedures during busy hours.

This role typically runs 25–30 hours per week with hours varying by orders; strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required. We value teamwork, reliability, and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with technology/computer systems (e.g. Excel, attendance system, ordering system, etc.)
• Have excellent communication, problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage bakery operations independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all operations are consistently maintained to a high standard with or without a manager present
• Remain calm in stressful or unexpected situations to ensure smooth operations while assisting team members adapting to the circumstances
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and manager to ensure smooth transitions and prevent miscommunication
• Create a positive team environment by paying attention to changes or difficulties team members may be experiencing
• Assist team members to solve problems and increase efficiency in their performance
• Executing opening and closing duties, and general bakery operations consistent with punctuality and attendance on scheduled shifts
• Ensuring all orders and inventory are received and organized accordingly
• Following all health, safety, and sanitation procedures and ensure all team members are following those procedures
• Performing other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.50 (Non-Exempt)

Location: Montebello, CA (Onsite)

In this role, the Shift Lead will contribute to our company's success by assisting the manager in executing and maintaining operations at our cafe establishment. They are responsible for delegating tasks, maintaining a safe and clean environment for our team members, and ensuring all operations run smoothly when the manager is not present.

This position regularly demands 25-30 hours per week. Work hours vary depending on orders placed but can be discussed.

Job Responsibilities:

Requirements and Qualifications:
