Job summary

Vale Healthy Kitchen is seeking a Shift Lead to run high-energy shifts on the floor, open or close, and own the guest experience from start to finish. You’ll coach FOH and BOH, set the pace, and uphold Vale’s food safety and quality standards across every station.

This launchpad role offers leadership training and a clear path to Assistant Manager and General Manager, with internal promotion across 10+ Florida locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or retail with some leadership exposure; training available.
• Natural leadership: calm under pressure and able to motivate others.
• Accountability for shift results.
• Strong communication with guests and teammates.
• Passion for healthy food and hospitality.
• Open availability, including weekends and evenings.
• Food handler or food manager certification a plus; we’ll help you get certified.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead opening or closing procedures and run high-energy shifts.
• Coach and motivate FOH and BOH team members in the moment.
• Own the guest experience: resolve issues on the spot and retain guests.
• Manage cash handling, register counts, and end-of-shift reports.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and Vale quality standards.
• Jump in wherever the shift needs you and work alongside the team.
• Communicate with management on inventory, staffing, and store needs.
