Job summary

Vale Healthy Kitchen is hiring a Shift Lead to run high-energy shifts, open or close the restaurant, and guide both FOH and BOH teams. You will own the guest experience and ensure smooth operations while upholding food safety and Vale standards.

• Open or close procedures and run high-energy shifts from start to finish.
• Coach and motivate FOH and BOH team members in the moment.
• Own the guest experience: resolve issues on the spot and turn a bad moment into a loyal regular.
• Manage cash handling, register counts, and end-of-shift reporting.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and Vale quality standards across every station.
• Jump in wherever the shift needs you and work alongside the team.
• Communicate with management on inventory, staffing, and store needs.

As a Shift Lead, you run the show when you're on the floor. You'll open or close the restaurant, lead the team through service, and own the guest experience shift by shift. • Communicate with management on inventory, staffing, and anything the store needs to win tomorrow

What We're Looking For

• Restaurant or retail experience with some leadership exposure preferred — or a standout team member ready to step up (we'll train you)
• Natural leadership: you set the tone, stay calm under pressure, and people want to follow you
• Accountability: you own the shift's results, not just your own station
• Strong communication with both guests and teammates
• Passion for healthy food and genuine hospitality
• Open availability preferred, including weekends and evenings
• Food handler / food manager certification a plus — we'll help you get certified
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
