Job summary

4 Rivers Smokehouse in Jacksonville is seeking a Shift Lead to guide daily restaurant operations and lead by example. You will supervise the team, ensure guest satisfaction, and support training and development initiatives.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across front-of-house and back-of-house tasks while growing into leadership roles within the company. A positive attitude and reliability are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience
• Previous leadership experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• Dependable, organized, and able to take initiative
• Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership during a shift
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn all aspects of restaurant operations
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team during daily restaurant operations
• Set the example for exceptional guest service, teamwork, and hospitality
• Help coach, train, and develop team members
• Delegate tasks and ensure the team is set up for a successful shift
• Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and safety
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Monitor restaurant operations and help resolve guest or team member concerns
• Support inventory, waste control, and other operational processes
• Communicate effectively with team members and restaurant leadership
• Help create a positive, energetic, and welcoming team environment
• Learn and utilize 4 Rivers systems and tools, including R365, Schoox, and Ovation
• Take on additional responsibilities as you continue to develop your leadership skills
