Job summary

Chuze Fitness in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Lead II to drive a vibrant, professional club environment. Hourly pay ranges from $19.50 to $31.68 based on experience, and full-time team members enjoy comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

You will lead by example, engage members with hospitality, and oversee daily operations to ensure an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Previous experience running shifts or leading a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-based mindset with the ability to give/receive feedback.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work varied hours, including weekends and opening/closing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming experience for members and guests by sharing information about memberships, programs, amenities, equipment, and club tours.
• Maintain a clean, inviting club by completing daily cleaning tasks.
• Manage front desk operations: assist memberships, retail sales, member check-ins, phone inquiries, and snacks/beverages where applicable.
• Escalate member concerns and facilities issues; work with leadership on solutions.
• Coach and support peers on operational practices, policies, and training standards.
• Support daily operations, opening/closing procedures, inventory, and administrative tasks.
• Support Kids Club standards and cross-team communication.

Responsibilities:

As a Chuze Fitness Lead II, you will play a pivotal role in supporting your team by ensuring a vibrant, professional, and efficient work environment. You will lead by example, setting the standard for kindness and en-chuzey-asm in every aspect of our operations, with a strong focus on enhancing the member experience.

• Provide a welcoming experience for every Chuze member and guest by sharing information about memberships, fitness programs, amenities, equipment, and engaging club tours
• Ensure the club looks its best by completing and coordinating daily cleaning tasks to maintain an exceptionally clean and inviting space for members
• Maintain front desk operations by assisting with memberships and executing retail sales, member check-ins, phone inquiries, and serving smoothies (at clubs with Chuze Blends)
• Escalate elevated member concerns and emergent facilities issues, maintaining an understanding of the best practices and partnering with leadership on solutions
• Coach and support fellow Chuzers on operational best practices, policies, and training standards
• Help keep the club running smoothly by supporting daily operations, opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and administrative responsibilities
• Support a seamless member experience by upholding Kids Club standards, assisting with Kids Club as needed, fostering collaboration, and establishing clear communication across teams

• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Ability to walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive arm and hand movements

• Ability to operate a telephone, computer, and other standard office equipment
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance when needed
