Job summary

Ben & Jerry's Connecticut is seeking a part-time Shift Lead to own shifts from opening to closing, guide and support a busy scoop team, and ensure smooth daily operations. You will handle cash, deposits, and guest issues while delivering exceptional service and maintaining brand standards.

The role offers leadership development, flexible schedules including nights and weekends, and opportunities to advance within a values-driven, family-friendly ice cream shop.

Qualifications

• Food/retail experience is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable team member others can count on.

Responsibilities

• Be the decision-maker on shift -- own it from open to close
• Guide, motivate, and support your team through every rush
• Handle cash, deposits, and daily operations accurately
• Deliver standout guest service and resolve issues in the moment
• Run pre-shift huddles and keep communication clear
• Train and support new team members
• Hold the shop to its standards when the SM or AM is out
• Keep shifts running smoothly and step up when it counts
