Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is hiring immediately for part-time Shift Leads at our Baker, LA location. You will provide prompt, courteous service, assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions, and help lead the team to meet store goals.

This role offers daily pay options, healthcare, a 401(k) with company match, education assistance, and opportunities for advancement from Shift Lead to Assistant Manager in as little as six months. A safe, diverse workplace is a core Murphy value.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching; must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience
• Responding to and resolving customer's requests and concerns
• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions
• Operating cash register
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including but not limited to completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees
