Job summary

Drybar Shops is seeking a Shift Lead / Licensed Cosmetologist to lead the shop floor and set the standard for exceptional blowouts. You’ll guide the team, ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs, and deliver top-tier service in a fast-paced salon environment.

You will coach stylists, drive memberships and retail, and maintain a positive, high-energy shop culture while growing into greater leadership responsibilities at Drybar.

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology license in the applying state.
• Strong shampoo, blow-dry, styling, and finishing skills.
• Experience leading a team preferred.
• Reliable and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Lead Stylists during shifts and manage shop flow.
• Create an exceptional client experience from check-in to check-out.
• Coach stylists toward great Drybar blowouts and performance.
• Maintain inventory, back-bar, and product ordering.

What You’ll Own as a Shift Lead

You’ll help set the tone for the shop and lead by example while still doing what you love behind the chair.

You will:

• Lead Stylists and Bartenders during your assigned shifts.
• Create an exceptional client experience from check-in through check-out.
• Keep the team motivated, accountable, and focused on shop goals.
• Assign clients to stylists and help maintain efficient shop flow
• Delegate responsibilities and ensure daily tasks are completed.
• Coach stylists toward completing beautiful Drybar blowouts in 45 minutes or less.
• Train and support new Bartenders on Booker, shop expectations, and Drybar’s 10 Core Values.
• Monitor back-bar, retail, and shop inventory and communicate ordering needs.
• Help drive memberships, retail, add-ons, client retention, and overall shop performance.
• Identify problems, take initiative, and help find solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and positive shop environment.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, timekeeping requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Communicate consistently with management and your team.
• Take ownership of additional leadership responsibilities assigned by the Regional Manager.

You have a current and valid cosmetology license in the state where you are applying and strong shampoo, blow-dry, styling, and finishing skills.
