Mackenthun’s Fine Foods - Minnetrista is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations and supervise staff across shifts. You will promote exceptional customer service and ensure efficient operations while upholding company values and safety standards.

Responsibilities include staff training, inventory control, and enforcing policies. The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and a team-first attitude in a fast-paced coffee shop/retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience required; supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Proficiency with basic computer programs, including POS systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Staff Supervision & Development: Supervise and support baristas and other team members during shifts; assist in hiring, training, and coaching staff; foster a positive work environment; ensure adherence to policies and safety standards.
• Customer Service Excellence and Guest Experience: Greet customers, take orders, craft beverages, and process payments; resolve complaints to ensure satisfaction; build relationships with regulars and community.
• Operational and Financial Management: Assist in inventory, ordering, cost control; monitor cash handling; support promotions and seasonal offerings; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Oversee cleaning and maintenance of coffee equipment; troubleshoot issues; ensure POS functioning; perform other duties as assigned.
