Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead in Boston to lead on-the-floor service and day-to-day cafe operations. You will train team members, uphold recipe standards, and ensure smooth shifts while delivering genuine hospitality to every guest.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of frontline leadership, a passion for coffee and matcha, and the ability to work 30–40 hours weekly, including Friday–Sunday peak days. E-Verify is part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Key Holder).
• 18+ years of age.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods.
• Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• You must be authorized to work in the U.S.: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees' Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as "E-Verify")

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers.
• Support your GM and help train new employees to succeed at Blank Street, including ensuring that new team members are following all recipe on the menu and operational processes in the store.
• Open and close the store safely and responsibly ensuring that all checklists are followed.
• Handle and solve customer issues that occur.
• Leads and support initiatives at the store level that increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and operational profitability.

• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes

  • Weekend and holiday availability preferred
