Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Senior Boiler Operator for its Conyers, GA Clean Energy Plant to safely run the Bubbling Fluidized Bed boiler and Steam Turbine Generator. The role also leads the shift, coordinating the Junior Operator, material handlers and day laborers to maintain continuous operation.

Qualified applicants will have 5+ years in high‑pressure boiler operations, BFB experience, and a stationary engineer license or ASME certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years operating high‑pressure industrial boilers
• Experience with Bubbling Fluidized Bed (BFB) technology and Steam Turbine Generators
• ASME/NIULPE Boiler Operator certification or stationary engineer license preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot the BFB boiler and Steam Turbine Generator (STG) via the DCS and plant walks.
• Ensure reliable high‑pressure steam and cogenerated electricity to match real‑time production needs.
• Direct, mentor, and evaluate the shift team to ensure coverage and safe operations.
• Oversee fuel handling, ash and water chemistry to maintain emissions and efficiency.
• Maintain lockout/tagout protocols and coordinate maintenance work orders during outages or emergencies.
• Enforce safety policies and housekeeping across the power island and fuel prep areas.
