Tropical Smoothie Cafe is seeking a Shift Leader to drive exceptional guest experiences while leading a team on a fast-paced cafe floor. You will model professionalism, supervise staff, and ensure daily operations meet Tropical Smoothie Cafe standards.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• - Interacts with crew members and customers using ‘Tropitude’ (Tropitude is our “mojo” and what makes
  Tropical Smoothie Café fun and different. It means having energy and creating a positive atmosphere.)
• -Delivers ‘Unparalleled Hospitality’ to each customer that visits our café.
• -Prepares ingredients for our food and smoothies.
• -Assembles and serves fresh food and smoothies prepared to Tropical Smoothie Cafes’ standards.
• -Uses our sanitation practices to handle and prepare food.
• -Sets up and monitors food and smoothie work stations.
• -Cleans and organizes kitchen, workstations, dining room, restrooms, and any other areas in the cafe.
• -Follows the steps to operate the register including taking customer orders, accurately handling cash, and
  being responsible for the drawer.
• -Follows all safety and security policies set by the brand.
• -Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the cafe.

Shift Leader Basic Expectations:

Shift Leads are leaders, trainers, role models, and operational support team members. They are responsible for maintaining a positive work environment, ensuring operational excellence, supporting management, enforcing company standards, maintaining food safety compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Shift Leads are expected to take ownership of their shifts and demonstrate professionalism, accountability, leadership, initiative, and a strong work ethic at all times.

Opening / Closing of the Cafe - Money handling - Staff Leadership & Direction of Tasks & Duties as required for the shift.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• -Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• -Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
• -Bending, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice, or taking out
  trash.
• -Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers.
• -Safely navigate in a fast-paced cafe environment.
• -Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• -Most shifts are between four and eight hours, but this may vary.
• -Staff can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend, and/or holiday hours. Open Availability is required. Weekends & Nights as rotation calls for.
• -Comply with the Tropical Smoothie Cafe uniform and personal hygiene polices for each shift.
