Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes is seeking a Shift Leader to work with the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager to deliver the highest quality cakes and a warm guest experience. You will help drive sales and profitability while ensuring NbC standards across daily operations.

The role requires coaching, training, and leading team members, with flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a stepping-stone to growth within our growing brand.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of guest-facing experience in retail/food service.
• Experience in lead roles with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Strong guest experience and coaching skills.
• Basic proficiency with Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Availability for varying shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in driving sales and profitability alongside bakery managers.
• Lead day-to-day operations to ensure NbC standards are met.
• Foster a warm, welcoming environment for guests.
• Coach and train team members to deliver superior guest experiences.
• Support scheduling and shift coverage as needed.

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Shift Leader works alongside the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager and team members to create the highest-quality cakes, a warm, welcoming environment, and superior guest experience. The Shift Leader shares in team leadership and collaborates with the bakery management in driving sales and profitability, executing day-to-day responsibilities and ensuring that all aspects of the bakery operation comply with NbC standards. And as part of this successful and growing brand, there is no shortage of opportunities for promotion. This role serves as an important carrier of the NbC culture to reinforce core values and bring our brand to life for our team members and guests.

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant or food service environment, preferably in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success creating a superior guest experience and coaching others to do the same, training new team members, directing the work of others, and achieving productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies.
• Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
