Job summary

S&G Stores is seeking a Shift Lead to directly support the store manager, helping the store operate efficiently while ensuring compliance with laws and company policy. The role focuses on staff management, sales optimization, and asset protection to maximize profits.

The Shift Lead will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure excellent customer service, proper merchandising, and safe, efficient store operations across shifts and busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all merchandising and marketing programs are executed properly, which includes maintaining plan-o-gram integrity and appropriate sign placement.
• Monitors store activities to ensure that transactions are taking place in the proper manner.
• Ensures foodservice products are fresh and appealing by rotating products appropriately and removing out-of-date products.

• Responds quickly to all emergencies for the safety and security of customers and employees and notifies the appropriate individuals

• Monitors store activities to ensure that transactions are taking place in the proper manner

Requirements

• Retail experience / Customer Service Experience Required
• Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Able to frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds.
• Able to stand for an entire shift.
• Ability to periodically handle routine physical task such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Comfortable working in intermittent temperatures for short periods of time, e.g. in the store, outside, and in the cooler.
• Available to work various shifts and days of the week as required by the retail environment, including weekends, evenings, and busy periods/holidays.
