Job summary

The Little Beet, part of Convive Brands, is hiring a Shift Lead for NYC Midtown East. The role focuses on delivering friendly, high-quality guest experiences in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The successful candidate will manage daily operations, assist with opening/closing procedures, and ensure clean, organized spaces while supporting growth across Convive Brands’ portfolio, including California Pizza Kitchen and Le Pain Quotidien.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast, is a plus.
• Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the entirety of the visit.
• Receive food and beverage orders, enter order into the POS, and coordinate with the kitchen.
• Anticipate guest needs and note any preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of pastry, bread, kitchen, beverage, and retail items.
• Prepare drinks for the dining room, as needed.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and escalate to a manager when necessary.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; daily checklist and side work.
• Organize money and receipts per cash handling policy.
• Keep restaurant areas clean and organized by following checklists.
• Assist with patio setup and outdoor fixtures maintenance when applicable.
