Job summary

The Little Beet in New York, NY is hiring for a restaurant team member to deliver friendly, attentive service across all dining areas. You will take orders, prepare beverages, and assist with daily opening and closing tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates bring 3–6 months of restaurant experience, familiarity with POS systems (Toast a plus), and a flexible schedule. Growth-minded team members are encouraged to apply for opportunities across Convive Brands.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems; Toast a plus.
• Flexible schedule is highly preferred.
• Ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the dining room and retail space preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to guests throughout the visit.
• Receive orders, enter into POS, and follow up with kitchen as needed.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences.
• Prepare drinks for the dining room as needed.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and escalate to a manager.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing procedures and daily checklists.
• Cash handling and money organization during shifts.
• Keep areas clean and organized according to cleaning checklists.
• Assist with setting up patio furniture and outdoor seating where applicable.
