Job summary

Vitality Bowls Rocky River is seeking a capable store manager to lead the team, oversee shifts, ensure top customer service, manage inventory, and keep the dining area welcoming and clean.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, staff development, cash handling, and adherence to health and safety standards while coordinating with managers to meet brand expectations.

Qualifications

• Food handler certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
• Health, sanitation and safety standards compliance.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team, manage shifts and delegate tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues politely.
• Accept deliveries and monitor inventory with managers.
• Manage petty cash, break schedules and opening/closing duties.
• Assist with interviews, training and staff evaluations.
• Ensure orders are accurate and timely through staff communication.
• Maintain a clean front lobby and kitchen, and handle phone orders.

About Vitality Bowls

Vitality Bowls specializes in making delicious acai bowls, which are a thick blend of the acai berry topped with organic granola and a selection of superfood ingredients. Additional antioxidant-rich menu items include smoothies, fresh juices, soups, salads and panini. All items of the menu are made fresh and in non-cross contamination kitchens to ensure that those with food allergies will feel safe eating at Vitality Bowls. No ingredient fillers such as ice, frozen yogurt, added sugar or artificial preservatives are used, giving the purest taste possible to each item.

Job Description:

• Lead the team,
• In charge of shifts and delegating tasks
• Show exemplary knowledge of the job and excellent customer service
• Deal with upset customers/problems with food in a polite way, making sure the customer is happy
• Accept deliveries,
• Communicate with managers/owners about the status of inventory;
• Check daily petty cash
• Manage the break schedule,
• Attend Management Meetings
• Assist with interviews, evaluations, and training
• Memorize the training material
• Keep the front lobby and outside area clean
• Have excellent customer service,
• Assist and ring up guests, answer phone calls and take orders over the phone
• Prep food according to proper procedures
• Continuously and thoroughly clean the kitchen and lobby
• Communicate with other staff to ensure that all orders are made correctly and in a timely way
• Communicate with managers about the schedule,
• Complete all opening and closing duties
• Perform additional tasks requested by your manager
• Handle specials circumstances
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers

Requirements:

• Become food certified
• Must be able to handle a basic computer, POS system; handling cash and credit cards
• Follow health, sanitary, and safety requirements
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, occasionally lift heavy boxes, move quickly and have a sense of urgency
• Maintain a clean and work appropriate personal appearance
• Come to work with a positive attitude, and are willing to work well with others
• Leadership abilities
