Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital seeks a skilled Shift Engineer to monitor and operate boiler rooms, chillers, cooling towers, and related systems. You will ensure safe, reliable facility performance and support the maintenance of EMS, water, and HVAC networks.

Applicants should have 2+ years in hospital facilities, boiler operation, and BAS/CMMS experience, with strong teamwork and communication. On-site role supporting critical healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• 2+ years in shift engineering, boiler operation or hospital facilities.
• Knowledge of boilers, chillers, cooling towers and BAS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility systems.
• Maintain safety and smooth operation of hospital facilities.
• Support maintenance on electronic and pneumatic controls; respond to alarms.
• Monitor cleanliness of common areas and equipment; train juniors.
• Work with Metasys BAS and CMMS; liaison with vendors and security.
