Job summary

Steel Dynamics is seeking an experienced industrial electrician to maintain and repair electrical systems in the Melt Shop. You will work a 4 on, 4 off, 12-hour rotating swing shift, focusing on safety and efficient reliability of power distribution, motors and drives.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and assisting millwrights and operators with daily tasks to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working as an electrician or electronics technician in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of power distribution, AC/DC motors, motor control and motor drives.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Software.
• Experience with low, medium, and high voltage equipment.
• Understanding of thermodynamics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
