Job summary

RR Donnelley is hiring for an operations-focused role in Greensboro, NC. The position involves guiding employees, auditing processes, ensuring safety, and maintaining quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate training, manage shift activities, and drive process improvements while liaising with multiple departments to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 2+ years in a manufacturing/operations environment
• Apply policies, procedures, regulations, and objectives when performing duties
• Proficient with computers and software such as MS Office, Mac Word, spreadsheets
• Excellent oral and written communication across departments
• Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and prioritize workload
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs frequently, >50 lbs rarely
• Able to perform basic math including rates, ratios, and percentages
• Communicate with internal/external customers to resolve issues

Job Description

• Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met.
• Maintain positive and effective relationships with employees. Direct employees to the appropriate manager regarding policy questions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standard, policies and procedures. Report any problems, potential problems, hazardous situations to management
• Inspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specifications
• Review and approve machine set ups, production samples, and/or shipments as necessary
• Identify and report opportunities for continual improvement
• When necessary, attend production meetings and/or confer with other departments to coordinate production activities
• Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and/or guests to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understood.
• Ensure the “Quality Policy and Objectives” are understood and achieved
• May provide oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy
• May update and maintain shift schedules in the time and attendance system, as well as enter attendance transactions
• Training and mentoring new and existing employees, ensuring consistent knowledge of company policies, procedures, and best practices to improve team performance and productivity

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment
• Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job
• Must have proficient knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as MS Office, MAC word processing, spreadsheets, or other programs specific to the job in order to complete job duties successfully
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments when completing assignments
• Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustments to meet business needs
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and rarely lift in excess of 50 pounds
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
• Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues

Thesalary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $24.00 - $35.00 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs.Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
