Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Shift Capability Leader to support our Palatka, FL tissue manufacturing area. This role will supervise 15–30 hourly team members and partner with the Department Operations Team to optimize capability and performance.

The position requires 3+ years in a leadership role within manufacturing or military environments, strong MS Office skills, and a collaborative mindset. A 12-hour rotating schedule is expected in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or military environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to create charts, reports, and presentations.
• Proven ability to manage direct reports and develop team performance.
• Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, supervise, coach, and develop hourly associates within the assigned department.
• Implement Performance, Skills, and Qualifications capability improvements.
• Address performance gaps for technicians and measure performance across the work platform.
• Handle payroll, time keeping, attendance, evaluations, and other HR administrative tasks.
• Align roles and expectations with plant and organizational goals to maximize long-term value.
