Job summary

Black Hog Brewing in Oxford, CT is seeking an experienced, full-time Shift Brewer to operate and maintain brewing and cellaring equipment, oversee wort production, and support ongoing product development.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year brewing on a 10-20 bbl system, works well in a fast-paced production brewery, and is proficient with Excel/Google Suite. Compensation includes salary 45k-54k, PTO, partial medical, 401k with match, and product sampling.

Qualifications

Responsibilities Including but not limited to:

• Operating AND maintaining ALL brewing & cellaring equipment
• Reports directly to the Lead Brewer
• Wort Production
• Mixing alternative beverages - RTDs / THC Infused products
• Dry Hopping
• Product Transfers
• Keeping all equipment in excellent condition
• CIPing of all cellar & brewhouse equipment
• Checking carbonation of finished product before packaging
• Maintaining a clean workspace

Experience

• A minimum of 1 year brewing on a 10bbl - 20bbl system.
• Understanding basic brewing science & techniques

This is a full-time (40 hours /week) salaried position, Monday - Friday. We offer a competitive salary ($45,000-$54,000/yr), paid-time off, partial medical benefits, a 401k with employer match, and a generous product sampling allowance.
