Job summary

Metalsa is seeking an on-site lead in Hopkinsville, KY to drive standardized work, safety, and productivity on the assembly line. You will train team members, manage qualifications, and enforce 5S and quality practices daily.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and planning skills, with willingness to work overtime and adapt to shift changes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Metalsa Operating System: OJT, Team Leader Board, Poka-Yoke, Standardized Work, Work Instructions, JSA, etc.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, planning, team orientation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build a work environment that motivates and engages the team.
• Enforce compliance with rules and expected behaviors.
• Conduct On-the-Job Training and manage Job Qualification records.
• Lead shift start-up meetings and maintain Leader board updates.
• Identify waste and propose process improvements (Kaizen).
• Audit Standard Work and ensure 5S compliance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for safety and conditions.
• Assist in assembly production and related tasks as needed.
