Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia Hospital is seeking a Shift Administrator for a part-time, 24 hours per week role. The position supervises staff and patient care, providing administrative support and acting as a resource for a designated shift to coordinate patient placements and inter-unit transfers.

The role requires Michigan RN licensure, ACLS/BLS certification, and prior management or supervisory experience, with strong computer skills for hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Registered Nurse BS/BSN preferred.
• Licensure: State of Michigan licensure.
• Training and Experience: Previous proven experience and expertise in clinical area.
• Management experience: former first-line or shift supervision role.
• Computer experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certification as job knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a role model demonstrating competency in clinical judgement, select technical skills, and appropriate knowledge base.
• Demonstrates clinical expertise in the executions of the nursing process and directs staff to outcomes.
• Assesses and coordinates Nursing Department resources for present and subsequent shifts to meet budgeted staffing.
• Uses an analytic process to identify problems and implements systems to reach a solution independently and in collaboration with the Manager/Assistant Unit Manager/Resource Nurse.
• Demonstrates awareness of Hospital and Department policies, assures compliance with, and uses these for the basis for decision making for clinical and management decisions.
