Job summary

National Tank & Equipment is seeking a SHEQ & Sustainability Manager based in Pasadena, TX, to lead the integration into Atlas Copco’s SHEQ culture and to implement modern safety systems and a robust sustainability strategy. The role drives a culture of continuous improvement across operations, services and sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in SHEQ and/or Sustainability leadership roles.
• Proven experience implementing SHEQ programs and Sustainability reporting systems.
• Experience leading change and driving adoption of new ways of working, preferably in acquisition or transformation settings.

Responsibilities

• Implement Atlas Copco’s Safety Culture and standards across all operations.
• Lead change management efforts to embed proactive safety behaviors at all levels.
• Deploy tools and systems for risk assessment, incident reporting and legal compliance.
• Implement and maintain a certified Management System in line with ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001.
• Support development of local procedures aligned with Group requirements.
• Act as a role model for Visible Leadership in Safety.
• Establish the sustainability roadmap aligned with Group goals.
• Lead carbon footprint reporting and Science Based Targets metrics.
• Engage stakeholders to integrate sustainability into daily operations and strategy.
• Provide customer-facing teams with knowledgeable sustainability support.

Your Mission

As our SHEQ and Sustainability Manager, you will lead the continued integration of National Tank & Equipment into the Atlas Copco SHEQ and Sustainability culture. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen and mature the foundation already established, including implementing modern safety systems, developing a robust sustainability strategy, and driving a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Key Responsibilties

Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ)

• Implement Atlas Copco’s Safety Culture and standards across all operations.
• Lead change management efforts to embed proactive safety behaviors at all levels.
• Deploy tools and systems for risk assessment, incident reporting and legal compliance.
• Implement and maintain a certified Management System in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Support the development of local procedures aligned with Group requirements.
• Act as a role model for Visible Leadership in Safety.

Sustainability

• Establish the first sustainability roadmap for the company, aligned with Group goals.
• Lead the development of carbon footprint reporting and Science Based Targets metrics (starting from zero).
• Engage key stakeholders to integrate sustainability into daily operations and long-term strategy.
• Provide customer-facing teams with knowledgeable support on sustainability topics, offering relevant insights and clear messaging.

Leadership & Culture

• Act as a business partner to Operations, Services and Sales & Marketing teams.
• Guide, coach and influence leaders to take ownership of SHEQ and Sustainability goals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement.
• Represent the company in audits, internal forums and external sustainability networks.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in SHEQ and/or Sustainability leadership roles.
• Proven experience implementing SHEQ programs and Sustainability reporting systems within complex operational environments.
• Experience leading change and driving adoption of new ways of working, preferably in acquisition, integration, or transformation settings.
• Knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements and environmental legislation.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels
• Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to execution and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results in a dynamic and evolving environment.
• Passion for fostering a culture of safety, sustainability, inclusion, and accountability.

Job Location

As the SHEQ & Sustainability Manager, you will be based at our Pasadena, Texas (77507) office. This is an on‑site position with travel requirements of up to 40%. You will report directly to the General Manager of National Tank & Equipment.
