Job summary

Safe Fleet is seeking an assembly worker for its American Van division. The role focuses on fast, reliable production in a manufacturing/warehouse setting, using hand and power tools to fasten parts and prepare orders. You will move product within the warehouse, support teammates, and handle additional duties as needed.

Candidates should be ready to work, punctual, reliable, and capable of lifting 50+ lbs. Prior production or assembly experience is a plus; safety and accuracy are emphasized in

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assembly - fastening parts together using hand and power tools.
  • Prepare finished product for customer orders
  • Help move product from one side of the warehouse to the other.
  • Assist the team with any task or assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
  • Ability to read work instructions.
  • Able to work overtime and weekends.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to read standard and metric rulers
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Be ready to work and on time for your shift.
  • Be reliable and show strong attention to detail.
  • Be able to bend and stoop to fasten large parts
  • Be able to lift 50+lbs continuously.
  • Experience with production or assembly work is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; Reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and lift up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

PPE REQUIREMENTS

In compliance with OSHA standards it has been determined that Safety glasses and steel toe footwear are required on the plant floor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Working environment is in an unheated/air-conditioned manufacturing/warehouse setting where the employee may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, cleaning solvents, lubricants, or noise.
