Job summary

New Frontier Animal Medical Center in Aurora, CO seeks a licensed Veterinary Technician for a part-time role (<29 hours/week). Hourly pay ranges from $26.00 to $33.33; candidates awaiting licensure start at $23.00–$26.67. This VHNE position does not provide medical benefits but accrues sick leave per the Healthy Families and Workplace Act.

Responsibilities include animal evaluations, anesthesia, radiographs, medication administration, and maintaining medical records. Supervision of staff and training of volunteers is expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Veterinary Technology required.
• Current RVT/LVT/CVT license or eligible to register in Colorado.
• Experience with shelter medicine and anesthesia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform animal evaluations and document findings.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and microchips.
• Perform radiographs and surgical procedures under supervision.
• Maintain medical records and handle controlled substances with SOP compliance.
• Train volunteers and staff; supervise students as needed.
• Assist with euthanasia when required.
