The YWCA of Greater Cleveland is seeking a Compassion Navigator at the Norma Herr Women’s Center to support adult women facing homelessness, trauma, and crisis. This role requires emotional stamina, dependable attendance, and a commitment to safety and continuity of care.

Responsibilities include direct guest support, intake and shift documentation, crisis intervention, and participation in daily shelter operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to show up consistently and on time.
• Proficiency in de-escalation and crisis response.
• Emotional regulation and boundary-setting skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort using computer and communication systems.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct support to shelter guests, including check-ins and basic needs assistance.
• Complete intake packets, incident reports, shift reports, and required documentation.
• Offer emotional support and crisis intervention, connecting guests to appropriate services.
• Practice trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques.
• Support daily shelter operations including meals, laundry, donations, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
