Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp is seeking a dedicated shelter attendant responsible for overnight resident supervision, intake procedures, and maintaining orderly and secure facilities. You will monitor residents for safety, enforce house rules, and perform routine checks to ensure doors are secured and alarms are in working order.

Responsibilities include running sexual offender checks during intake, preparing and maintaining resident rosters, and coordinating daily chores.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One-year prior experience performing security or social services work in a shelter or similar environment, or equivalent combination.
• Licenses and Certifications: Valid State Driver's License (Preferred)
• Food Handlers Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)
• CPR or First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)

Responsibilities

• Assists residents staying in the Corps shelter overnight and conducts client intake.
• Monitors residents to ensure safety, security and compliance with house rules.
• Locks and secures facility; conducts routine checks and responds to emergencies.
• Performs client intake procedures including checks and roster maintenance.
