The role requires a NYS driver’s license, willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a compassionate, professional approach. Training in crisis intervention and CPR/First Aid is required or can be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifikationen

• Clean and valid New York State Driver's License (actively licensed at least one year) required.
• Experience in a human services agency preferred.
• Formal Crisis Intervention Training (TCI) experience.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; secure Internet practices.
• Empathetic, caring mindset with ability to work with diverse populations.
• Positive, flexible, and dependable; capable of handling confidential information.
• Staff in driving positions must meet minimum insurance policy requirements (age 21+).

Aufgaben

• Establish professional relationships with residents and Shelter staff.
• Meet with families daily to assist with service plan goals and daily living skills.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment and report issues.
• Document interactions using incident reports and case notes.
• Assist with intake to discharge transitions.
• Provide crisis intervention and mediation as needed.
