Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Director of Operations/Security in Long Island City, NY, to oversee daily shelter operations, security, and facilities management. The role manages staff, coordinates with vendors, and ensures regulatory compliance with DHS, FDNY, and other agencies.

The position requires 35 hours per week with flexibility and 24/7 on-call availability for emergencies related to operations and safety. Valid NY security licenses and relevant certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in facilities management, public administration, business, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and facility management systems.
• Experience supervising diverse teams in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, security functions, and facilities management for shelter site.
• Lead operations and security teams; supervise vendors and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with DHS, FDNY, DOHMH, OSHA and other regulations.
• Develop and implement operational goals, procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Coordinate with NYPD/FDNY and keep incident reports up to date.
