Job summary

The Salvation Army Intermountain Div is seeking a Shelter Associate to provide administrative and operational support under the FHC Program Manager. The role emphasizes front desk duties, client interaction, documentation, and coordinating with emergency services within the shelter environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience working with people, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Clarity/HMIS, and WellSky.

Qualifications

Experience interacting with people and providing service-friendly support.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems is required.
Ability to learn new software programs with basic training and apply them to daily tasks.

Responsibilities

Interact with and monitor clients’ behavior and maintain rapport with excellent customer service.
Encourage clients to comply with facility policies and procedures.
Perform front desk duties including data entry and phone coverage.
Monitor facility security and perform regular checks.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for intake and services.
Provide support to the Program Manager and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
Oversee shelter tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal setup.
