Louisiana SPCA seeks a Community Medicine Veterinarian to deliver preventive and essential care in a high-volume outpatient setting, including exams, diagnostics, treatments, and dentistry. You will work with shelter medicine to support animals and owners across Orleans and Plaquemines Parishes.

The role requires a DVM with a Louisiana license, DEA license, and strong client communication. A flexible schedule and team mentorship are offered in this essential position.

Formación

• DVM from an accredited university; current Louisiana veterinary license.
• Current DEA and Louisiana Board of Pharmacy licenses.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Able to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsabilidades

• Provide preventive and essential medical care in a high-volume outpatient clinic.
• Oversee all aspects of veterinary care including exams, diagnostics, treatments, and prescriptions.
• Assist with shelter animal care and support in exams and treatments as needed.
• Perform and oversee outpatient surgical procedures and dentistry when appropriate.
• Maintain medical records and update protocols for the Community Clinic.
