Job summary

Northshore Humane Society in Covington, LA seeks an Associate Veterinarian to deliver compassionate medical care to shelter and clinic patients. You will work with a dedicated team to provide high-quality exams, diagnostics, and treatments.

Responsibilities include performing spay/neuter surgeries, developing treatment plans, and maintaining thorough medical records. Flexible 40-hour weeks with no Sundays. Louisiana licensure required.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinarian in Louisiana or eligible for licensure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced shelter setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical care to clinic and shelter patients.
• Perform spay/neuter and other routine surgeries as needed.
• Develop and implement medical treatment plans with the shelter team.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all animals in care.
• Communicate clearly with adopters, foster families, and volunteers.
