The role includes inventory control, staff training, and collaboration with shelter veterinarians and senior management.

Ideal candidates will have veterinary technician experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to Fear Free handling and humane animal treatment.

Qualifications

• Veterinary technician experience required.
• Must be able to supervise staff and manage operations.
• Ability to train volunteers and staff in medical procedures.
• Excellent communication with veterinarians and management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily medical operations including inventory management, medical treatments, and staff management.
• Ensures humane handling of animals and Fear Free methods.
• Trains staff and volunteers on medical treatments and services.
• Recruit, hire, develop and coach staff to reduce turnover.
• Maintains pharmacy inventory and supplies.
