Job summary

SPCA of Texas is seeking a Medical Supervisor to lead daily medical operations and ensure high-quality care for shelter animals. You will coordinate with Shelter Veterinarians, senior management, and volunteers to run medical services efficiently and humanely.

The role requires veterinary technician experience and leadership skills to train staff, manage inventory, and support the animal care mission across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Veterinary technician experience required.
• Experience supervising staff and volunteers.
• Ability to train staff in medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily medical operations and inventory across locations.
• Coordinate with veterinarians, managers, and volunteers to meet animal movement goals.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and place orders as needed.
• Recruit, hire, and coach staff to reduce turnover and boost morale.
• Train staff and volunteers on medical treatments and procedures.
• Ensure Fear Free handling and humane treatment of animals.
