The role collaborates with the Director of Operations & HR and shelter leaders to maintain buildings and equipment across Grand Ave and Cleveland Ave. The position manages facilities staff and contractors, supports budgeting for operations and capital improvements, and drives a culture committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Five years of facility management experience including safety, security and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director of Operations & HR and shelter leaders to run Shelter Operations effectively and holistically.
• Lead and empower direct reports to align with the organization’s mission.
• Provide interculturally competent leadership and advance anti-racism in the workplace.
• Plan and develop projects with the Director of Operations & HR.
• Coach staff through core values and policies; support growth via coaching conversations.
• Schedule, review and evaluate facilities staff and contractors.
• Assist with hiring/terminations recommendations and budgeting for facilities.
• Manage capital improvements and asset maintenance budgets.
