Responsibilities include feeding, monitoring health, enrichment, and reporting concerns promptly. The position promotes a welcoming culture aligned with PETS principles and may involve engagement with adopters and documentation of animal profiles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of animal-related experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Compassion and empathy for animals and owners.
• Comfortable handling animals and making safe decisions.
• Ability to stay calm in busy or stressful situations.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and be on feet for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily animal care including feeding, watering, cleaning, and monitoring health.
• Perform cleaning and disinfection per protocols.
• Provide enrichment and exercise to reduce stress.
• Assist with adoption support and share basic animal information.
• Capture photos/videos and assist with animal profiles as needed.
• Support volunteers and new staff with guidance and training.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
